Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information this website may collect when you visit, why it may be collected, and what choices you have.
Last updated: 21 August 2026Introduction
This website, ricepuritytestofficials.co.uk, offers a free online Rice Purity Test and related information pages. We want the site to be simple to use and straightforward about what happens behind the scenes, so this policy is written in plain language rather than legal jargon.
By using the site you accept the practices described here. If you do not agree with this policy, please stop using the website.
Information We May Collect
We do not ask you to create an account, and you do not need to give us your name or any other personal detail to take the test. Information may still be collected in the following ways:
- Information you give us. If you send a message through the contact page or by email, we receive whatever you choose to include, such as your name, email address and the content of your message.
- Server and hosting records. Our web host keeps standard server logs for security and troubleshooting. These usually include IP addresses, the pages requested, timestamps, browser type and referring page.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Set by the site itself and by any third-party services in use. See sections 5, 6 and 7.
- Comments. If commenting is enabled on any page, WordPress stores the comment, the name and email you supply, and your IP address.
We do not knowingly collect special category data such as health information, and the test does not ask for any information that identifies you.
Contact Form Information
If you contact us, we use the details you provide to read and reply to your message. We do not sell contact details, and we do not add anyone to a mailing list from a contact enquiry.
Depending on how the contact form is configured, your message may be delivered by email, stored as an entry in the website database by the form plugin, or both. Please only include information you are comfortable sending by email, and do not send passwords, financial details or anything you would consider confidential.
Test Answers and Results
The Rice Purity Test on this site is designed to run in your browser. Your answers are held while the page is open so you can move backwards and forwards through the questions, and your score is calculated on your own device when you finish. Closing or refreshing the page clears your answers.
There is no account system, so results are not linked to a person and there is no score history to log back into. Nothing you answer is published, and your result is only shared if you choose to share it yourself using the share button.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. This site may use them for essential functions such as keeping the site working correctly and remembering preferences, and third-party services may set their own cookies for analytics or advertising.
The exact set of cookies present depends on which plugins and partners are active at any given time, and this can change as the site is updated. Rather than list cookies that may become out of date, we encourage you to inspect the actual cookies being set in your browser and to review the site configuration for yourself. Most browsers let you view stored cookies, block them, and delete them from the settings menu.
Blocking cookies will not stop you taking the test, although some parts of the site may behave differently. If a cookie consent banner is shown to you, the choices you make there apply to the non-essential cookies covered by it.
Analytics
We may use analytics software to understand how the site is used in aggregate: which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, roughly where in the world they are, and what kind of device they use. This helps us decide what to fix and what to write next.
Analytics providers process this information on our behalf and may set their own cookies or use similar identifiers. We look at analytics data as trends and totals; we do not use it to try to identify individual visitors.
Because analytics tools are added, removed and reconfigured over time, we recommend checking the current cookie and analytics configuration of the site directly if the precise details matter to you, and using your browser or device privacy controls if you would prefer not to be measured.
Third-Party Services
Parts of this website rely on services provided by other companies. These may include our web hosting provider, a content delivery network, security and caching plugins, analytics providers, and advertising partners if advertising is displayed.
Each of these companies operates under its own privacy policy and its own terms. When a third-party service loads content on a page, that company can receive information such as your IP address, the page you are viewing and details about your browser, even if you do not interact with it. We do not control what those companies do with the information they collect.
Where advertising is shown, ad partners may use cookies or similar technologies to measure performance and, subject to your consent where required, to personalise the adverts you see. You can usually adjust advertising preferences through your browser settings or the controls offered by the ad provider.
How Information May Be Used
Information described in this policy may be used to:
- Operate the website and make sure pages load correctly.
- Reply to messages and enquiries you send us.
- Understand how the site is used so that content and usability can be improved.
- Detect, investigate and prevent spam, abuse and security problems.
- Display advertising and measure its performance, where advertising is used.
- Comply with legal obligations or respond to a valid legal request.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your information to build a personal profile of you.
Data Retention
We keep information only for as long as there is a reason to keep it. Messages you send us are kept while the enquiry is open and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you follow up, then deleted. If the contact form stores entries in the website database, those entries are removed periodically.
Server logs and records held by third-party providers are retained according to those providers own schedules, which we do not set. If you want your contact messages deleted sooner, ask us and we will remove what is within our control.
Data Security
The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and we keep WordPress, its theme and its plugins updated. Administrative access is limited and protected.
No website can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise. Sending information over the internet always carries some risk, so please avoid sending anything sensitive through a contact form or by email.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, data protection law may give you rights over information that relates to you. In the United Kingdom, under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, these include the right to:
- Ask what information about you we hold and request a copy of it.
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep.
- Ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to certain uses.
- Ask for a copy of information you gave us in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we relied on consent.
To exercise any of these, email us using the address in section 15. We may need to ask a question or two to work out which records relate to you, since the site does not have accounts. Please bear in mind that if you have only taken the test and never contacted us, we are unlikely to hold anything that identifies you.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled a request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.
Children’s Privacy
This website is not directed at children. The questionnaire discusses mature, personal and sensitive experiences, which is why a content notice appears before the test begins.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through the contact form, please email us and we will delete it. Parents and guardians who want to limit access to content of this kind may wish to use the parental control tools built into most devices, browsers and networks.
External Links
Some pages link to other websites. We include those links because we think they are useful, but we have no control over how other sites operate and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Once you follow a link away from this site, this policy no longer applies. We recommend reading the privacy policy of any website you visit that asks for information about you.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add a feature, change a plugin, or begin working with a new service provider. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
Changes take effect as soon as the updated policy is published here. If we ever make a change that significantly affects how information about visitors is handled, we will make that clear rather than quietly editing the text.
