Overview

What Is the Rice Purity Test?

The Rice Purity Test is a 100-question self-assessment questionnaire. Each question asks whether you have had a particular experience, and the list covers a wide range of social, personal and relationship situations that people may encounter through their teenage years and early adulthood.

Your score runs from 0 to 100 and is simply a count of the listed experiences you have not had. A higher score generally means fewer of the listed experiences, and a lower score generally means more of them. Nothing is added or weighted — every question counts the same.

The test is intended for entertainment and light self-reflection. It is not a scientific personality test, it has no diagnostic value, and it is not a measurement of morality or character. Two people with very different scores have simply lived different lives.

Your Score, Your Story

At the end of the questionnaire you get a single number out of 100. It describes how many of the listed experiences you reported — nothing more. There is no ranking, no pass mark, and no comparison with anyone else.

Read it as a snapshot of one moment, not a verdict. People often find the questions themselves more interesting than the number at the end.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

It is a 100-question self-assessment questionnaire covering a range of life experiences. You mark the ones that apply to you, and the result is a score out of 100. It is made for entertainment and self-reflection rather than assessment.

There are exactly 100 questions, presented as a single list. Most people finish in a few minutes.

You start at 100 and one point is subtracted for each listed experience you mark. Every question is weighted the same, so the final number is just a count of the items you did not select.

A higher score generally means fewer of the listed experiences were reported. It does not say anything about a person beyond that, and the ranges are not rankings.

Yes. You can take it as many times as you like, and each attempt is scored on its own.

No. It has no research basis, it is not validated as a psychological instrument, and it does not measure morality or character. Treat the result as entertainment.
